The lotus plant, especially the sacred blue lotus, was held in very high esteem by ancient cultures, like the early Egyptians. In fact, they worshiped it as a visionary plant and was a symbol for the origin or source of all life. So lotus of the heart could mean that of "the creator" or "purity of the heart" since the lotus seed grows out of muddy water into a beautiful, untouched blossom on a tall stem. Lotus eyes sometimes mean blue eyes. But, more often, it's the eye drawn or in the shape of a lotus petal (like that of Buddha) in eastern art forms.
What does it mean to say "the lotus of the heart"? Or to say that someone has "Lotus eyes"?
