Pretty cool that IBM made a free office for pc's, but does it gonna have support for Mac's, cuz IBM is know to support mac's
Does anybody know if Lotus Symphony will be available for Mac's anytime soon(for free ofcourse)?
OMG, that's an old name from the past. I used to use Lotus Symphony years ago, and it was a pretty advanced integrated system, way ahead of its time.
If I were you, I'd look at OpenOffice.org instead. You get the same, if not more, office applications than Symphony, there's a Mac version, the files are compatible with MS Office, and it's free.
Reply:OpenOffice.org does NOT work on Mac w/o X11, so no Mac shortcuts, you need X11 installed and the widgets are non-native. NeoOffice is a better choice on the Mac, but it's slow. If you need a quick solution, use iWork. If you want free - use Bean, which is a simple, lightweight word processor. Report It
