How commom are *lotus flower* tattoo's?

Reply:I have one too. :) It's common but it has a different meaning to each person who has one. The lotus flower is a big part of eastern/asian culture. But if you'd rather take it in a literal state, look where the lotus flower blooms. It's seeds are planted in mud, murk and basically in the bottom of the pond. Then it grows out to be something beautiful. It is a symbol of overcoming obstacles in life, rising above and fighting to get to the top.....
