Have all past e-mails archived as large NSF File on local drive. Will need to have access to these after we convert to Outlook. Is there a third party program that can convert these to Outlook, or still open them after Notes is taken off my PC? Even if it's just a text database, just need some way to access these archive e-mails in the future. Thank you.
Company switching from Lotus Notes to Outlook. Any way to convert / access Notes Archive NSF Files.?
wow that is a hard one, best suggestion would be to unarchive them with lotus before the conversion and have lotus export them to a comma deliminated format. then try and import them however you will more then likely lose some if not alot of info, i would keep a copy of that archive. Outlook 2003 shows the ability to import lotus, however i have never tried it so cant speak of guarrentees
Reply:Talk to your company's technical support team. They have probably already added this as part of the project. There's a couple of ways to take care of this, but they probably want everyone to do it the same way. That way it will be a lot easier to help you with future problems than it will if everyone's mail has been converted in a different way. They may be planning on automating the process or doing it for you, too, and you don't want your actions to conflict with theirs.
Reply:From Lotus you should be able to export all information to a CSV file and then Import that file into Outlook.
Reply:first my condolences, Outlook has an Import function for Lotus Organizer, 3 and 4x. Considering what you could do with Lotus, you will feel really ripped off when you go to outlook. Shoot the CIO.
here is some software that says it will do the job
