You have to measure the length of a lotus plant with a scale that you are given but?

you cannot insert the scale into the lake in which the lotus floats. You are not allowed to uproot the plant and use any other devices(%26amp; I mean anything). So how do you measure its length ?(There is a mathematical answer to this problem and involves a very simple and common method)

You have to measure the length of a lotus plant with a scale that you are given but?
walk into the lake and stand next to the lotus, noting how far up your body the plant reaches from the roots, where your toes are. get out of the lake, and measure to that point on your body with the provided scale.
Reply:Who are you trying to fool? Sounds like you think you are quite wise at 16 and that you have a bias against physics people with your remarks that they would not ask questions about dating, politics, religion, government, etc.. I'll excuse your ignorance as a product of your youth. You still have a lot to learn. Growing up will take care of most of it.

For your benefit old wise one, I have added a famous quote:

"When I was 17, I thought my father was a complete fool. By the time I was 21, I was amazed at how much he had learned in four short Years"
Reply:i think u push down all the petals and then measure it. the scale isn't going in the lake just touching the lotus
