How can I recover my archievd files in Lotus Notes when I have lost my ID file?
If you don't have your old ID file, then don't loose your time finding a password cracker as proposed.

Notes security is strong.

In all standard archive file, the database ACL is well built... but in case you have changed it specifying your ID without hierarchy part (firstname+lastname), and without entry type (option top right for each ACL entry), then you could try the following process: create a new group in your private address book (meaning you have a new different ID with a notes client ) with firstname+lastname as group name. In this new group, include your new ID... try to enter in the archive file with your new ID.

Good luck.
Reply:Can you give mpore detail? Report It
Reply:Try to open it with the new id file created with the same name and hierachy! Report It
Reply:Normaly not possible.

However try to open that data file in Outlook, MS Access and other databases.
