There is a Lotus Elise, and Lotus Exige, but no Lotus Elige.

Reply:Its called the Exige, not the Elige and it is 189bhp

Right so hope this works as a comparison and helps you buy the right one, have fun!!
Reply:first of all its exige! and it was thwe lotus exige s which they used and the power output is 218bhp, and they used the 1.8 engine from the celica which was tuned and had a supercharger fitted, the 0-60 time is 4.1 seconds and it tops out at 147mph, not that you will be trying that of course ;)
hope this helps, regards robertbaddington
Reply:The Exige S did not come out until 2005 and even then only as a run of 50 cars. The Top Gear video uses a 2004 Lotus Exige S2 that produced 189hp.
By the way, if you wait until next year, the Elise will be sold in supercharged trim as well.
