Krishna %26amp; Radha characters were created by VedVyasa in Mahabharat. His real name was Krishna Dwepayana and because he wrote Vedas his he was called as VedVyasa as nickname.

VedVyasa's cave is in badrinath and across the river Alaknanda is the shrine of badrinath which was a buddhist shrine earlier and was snatched and converted to present state by Adi shankaracharya.

Gautama Buddha says that he himself was Krishna Dwepayana (VedVyasa) in previous birth.
