I own an Elna Lotus SP sewing machine. I would like to know where I can order spare parts from. Thanks?

I have one of these little gems and I love it. The best-known Elna guru is Ray White, aka "Elnaman". He teaches classes on sewing machine repair but his speciality is Elnas. You can order parts or contact him at his website:

You can also join the yahoo group "elnaheirloomsewingmachines" where very knowledgable Elna owners/collectors share information and answer questions. Enjoy your Lotus!

Have you tried the Elna website? You didn't say where you're located. I brought my Elna from GB to the US and was astounded to find how little support Elna gets in this country. I finally bought another machine because I couldn't find anyone who was experienced with Elna. But I'm in the godforsaken midwest. If you're on a coast you should do better.

At any rate, you can probably find a local dealer/supplier on the Elna website, or you can send them an e-mail from there.
Reply:Almost any sewing machine repair shop can get parts for you. They may even have some of the "usual suspects" in stock if it's a large shop that's been around for awhile.

Lotuses are nice little machines... I'd love to see the design resurrected.
