Strayhorn is on piano- 95% sure. Plays in typical form, with piano doing first run. Only accompaniment here is bass. Second run is tenor sax with bass and piano accompaniment, sounds like Coleman Hawkins. It's absolutely gorgeous, and I want to know what recording or compilation it's available on.

Based on your description, it may be on one of two recordings from this list by Paul Gonsalves or maybe the Joe Lovano recording, as he has a lot of Hawkins influence.
