Is lotus festival this friday?
The Lotus Festival is the largest event sponsored by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks. Thousands converge on the urban oasis around Echo Park Lake to celebrate the cultures of Asia and the Pacific Islands. Music, folk dances and martial arts demonstrations from Japan, China, Korea, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines take the stage. There are flower arranging workshops, bonsai displays, children’s activities, food, merchandise and information booths on land and dragon boat races on the water. New for 2007 is the incorporation of the Friday Twilight Jazz Series.
When: July 13-15, Friday 5-9 pm, Saturday noon – 9 pm, Sunday noon – 8 pm, Fireworks at 9 pm Friday and Saturday.
Where: Echo Park on Park Avenue between GlendaleAvenue and Echo Park Boulevard in LA, just north of the Hollywood (101) and Pasadena (110) freeway junction, near Dodger Stadium
Cost: Free
Parking: There are three community lots available in addition to street parking. Check the website for addresses and directions.

But unfortunately we are a week to late as the Festival was last friday so maybe nexy year you wont forget.
