Lotus cars. What about them? Why you see not to many around?

Ilike that car and i don't consider it as a very expensive one... but, I don't see too many out there? Do they have some bad reputation?

Lotus cars. What about them? Why you see not to many around?
There expensive, and share a road of life in Italy, Ireland etc. There not usually american. Such as Renault, Peugot etc. about 30-35k for a lotus elise to be exact...
Reply:They are pricey by allot of peeps standards.
Reply:Lotus cars, for having such a reasonable price, are very rare on the west coast except for the OC. The only reason y a lot of them arent seen are beacause they are primarily european cars, just imported to america. If u ever get the chance to travel to a wealthy european or austrailian city, they are actually slightly common and can be bought for around the same price. They are very good cars, especially the exige. It is ranked as one of the best handling cars and can be driven very fast. To learn more about good european cars similar to the lotus, i would sugest watching any episodes (if you can find it) of Top Gear. It is shown on BBC in england and is very exciting. The website http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/ has great webisodes. I haven't found any lotus yet but it will probably be somwhere on Youtube etc.
Reply:i have no idea their very cheap 30grand.
Reply:to much money for the regular person
Reply:Way back in the day they weren't considered that reliable, and they didn't have the power of other cars in their price range.
Reply:I love them too, but they have crappy financing deals. I was comparing an Elise with a BMW 335i. About the same price, but leasing or financing the lotus would have cost more than twice as much per month as the 335. If you are paying cash up front then Lotus all the way.

I live in So Cal so you do see them around. There is a dealer a few miles from my work.
Reply:I see a few of them out there, even though they only cost about $35,000. I'm surprised that only a few people are buying them.
Reply:They are very rare here in America, but they are common in parts of Europe.
