Rose is grown up with thorns while lotus is in the water. The second is more easy to grow.
Why is the red rose on the valentine's day not red lotus?
Rose is a flower which has thorns around it.... Although it is nice to see, it brings out blood from our hands if we try to pluck it off.... The same applies to our lover. She is nice to see, but 1 fine day she brings out our entire blood to earth.... DON'T LOVE-BE HAPPY
Reply:cause a red rose denotes love and affection......a red lotus does not...nor do you get lotus' so easily...
Reply:Because it is a warning to the lovers to see the thorns also, not only roses. Every-one pretend to be good and gentle.Keen observation only bring-out true colours.
Reply:It is customary, world over to give someone special a 'love note' on valentine's day. The flowers or chocolates are just a little add-on. No one is going to shoot you for giving a red lotus to your love on this day. So have fun finding one :)
Reply:as we know precious things r more in demand.rose is precious.
Reply:rose is given for a lover it is the youth symbol of love and here is no red lotus
Reply:Because red rose stands for eternal love.
Reply:Rose is a Rose is a Rose !!!
Reply:Valentine's Day is celebrated to show 'Love', to your beloved ones. As you may know that love is Humble, soft, full of affection, full of fragrance, full of care and full of passion and it also signifies best of virtues which are induced into youself when you desire to send 'Love' to someone on this day.
Only a real "Rose" flower possesses all these and not a Lotus flower.
Therefore only a Red-Rose on Valentine's Day.
